A pure passion for electronic music was conceived from the first contact with sounds of the early 80’s growing up in a North London suburb listening to LWR and other pirate stations and from the “Streetsounds Electro” compilations but it was the birth of the House that was eventually responsible for a healthy 10,000+ vinyl collection, lots of partying and over 25 years in the electronic dance scene to date.

At the age of 18 Carlos started his DJ’ing career in Spain in local bars and clubs close to Barcelona at holiday destination Costa Brava . The early nineties were spent learning the craft of turntablism skills during marathon nightly 10 hour sets during 6 long summer months .
In 1994, Carlos was taken on board by a London promoter and begun spinning at more well known clubs at the time like Bagley’s, The Cross, Turnmills, Pacha and eventually a 6 year residency for Rulin' at the Ministry of Sound. Carlos was taken on board by The Ministry Of Sound ‘Dance Nation’ and other tours taking him to many countries and venues around the globe. Carlos also organised parties for Philip Salon in central London at the Adrenalin Village and the newly opened Heaven at the time.

Natural progression lead Carlos in to the studio to experiment with his beloved sound. Over the last decade and a half, the fruits of his music production have lead to some great success. His first vinyl release 'Sun Sacrifice' was pressed in 2000 with Javi Colors (Stereo Recordings) and shortly after La Liga on DTPM's label DTrax won support from Roger Sanchez, Tom Stephan and John Cutler.

In November 2006, Carlos launched his own label SP Recordings at the legendary Turnmills (London). The label has over 200 releases from new and established artists from around the world concentrating on the more underground side of today's sub dance genres. (Without focus on just one type.)

After a gig in Brazil in 2007, Carlos fell in love with the country and its culture and then in 2009 for filled his dream to live there and moved from Essex to Fortaleza (A place he calls “The sunniest part of the planet") Brazil (Brazil’s 4rth largest City) were he set up his label headquarters and production studio. It is here were the latest productions have taken things to another level…

Over the last few years, his tracks have been released on his own Sure Player imprint as well many other reputable labels including King Street, Nite Grooves, Kolour, Vida Records, Blacksoul Music, Good Stuff, HEAVY, Celestial Recordings, Grooveland, Endemic, Soundmenonwax, Groove On, Submarine Vibes and Unrivaled Music and has hit the Nu Disco, Afro House, Deep House , Jackin and House top 100 Charts on Traxsource making Carlos one of the few “Multi genre” artists with consistent presence in the dance scene.

Works include two releases on the reputable Budhha Bar series and a remix for Aki Bergen's 'Love Honey' on Kolour Recordings, Original releases on Soundmenonwax titled 'Drums of Kadoma’ and “Ala De Mosca” on Vida Records which have won support from the likes of Danny Rampling, Herman Catanneo, Osunlade and other big players on the underground dance scene. ‘Tikuna’ reached number 01 on the Traxsource Afro House Charts while “Ala De Mosca” on Vida Records, hit the number one spot for over 5 months as well as being one of the top sellers on Traxsource for 2014. Nu Disco track “We Remember You” on Blacksoul Music also hit the number one spot in the Nu Disco Chart.

More recently, Carlos remixed did a official cover completely reconstructed from the ground up of Fingers Inc “Can You Feel It” from the classic label Trax Records(Chicago) The track went straight to number one on Traxsource with huge support across the globe as well as over 100 chartings on Traxsource.
Last year (2016) Carlos entered the top 100 Afro House artists at #32 and his Track “Can You Feel it” was in the top 40 best sellers over all for the same year.

On the DJ side, Carlos plays guests around Brazil and runs his own project “Coconut Grooves” (A weekly day beach event at one of the capitals hot spots Cumbuco) has been going now for 3 years and is one of the busiest day time events in the area.
In his own words “After having buying over 10.000 vinyl records across 25 years I have the right to go digital without any insults!” His now“Control freak” dj set up is with Ableton, Tracktor (using Link) Maschine and the Apc40 mk2 or Push 2.
Carlos has many releases coming from the label/artists and himself locked and loaded for Summer 2018 and beyond including a forthcoming album set for Autumn.
